About Us

Clayspace is a not for profit organisation dedicated to providing inspiration and support for ceramic artists at all stages of their creative development in a nurturing communal environment.

The co-operative’s mission is to generate an ongoing creative hub, enabling the exchange and sharing of resources, ideas, knowledge and skill in the making of objects from clay. This is achieved through the establishment of communal facilities that connect and empower people through training opportunities, creative purpose, exploration and skill development. The co-operative views itself as a supportive group that will cultivate innovative enterprise, contribute to local cultural identity and provide community benefits via the development of sustainable local industry.

But really, we just want to bring lovers of clay together, to share, laugh and grow :)

We have a new shared community ceramics studio in Daylesford (East St Business complex) providing classes, workshops, studio hire, and a social clay night every Monday evening from 7-9pm (@ the Clayspace Daylesford Studio, East St).

Membership is just $50- per annum and offers reduced price on workshops, artsit talks, studio hire (just $10 per day for members), the opportunity to take part in group woodfirings, our end of year exhibition and many more exciting opportunities.

Clayspace as a not-for-profit cooperative is only what our members make it, so come along and get involved, start making, start sharing, start growing with us!
If you have an idea for a workshop, event or project get in touch! If you have time or a skill to offer, get on board!
